An Unusual Mission by Barsto An Unusual Mission by Barsto
I decided to do a fan art of Adrian Tullberg's story found here
[link] found it funny as hell and it introduced me to the idea of something between Batman and Wonder Woman long before the cartoons and comics started up with it.The picture itself was inspired by a cover of the Saturday Evening Post Painted by Norman Rockwell. For all you BM/WW fans out there, enjoy

EDIT 2/03/06: Tried to fix the Link

For me "An Unusual Mission" is the prototype of BM/WW shipper fiction. It stands out as being plot- rather than romance-driven and actually attempts to use the actual characters, warts and all. Personally, although I'm mostly a BM/CW shipper, it was AUM that convinced me that BM/WW could be made to work.

Nice job, BTW. I can actually hear the conversation in my head as Wonder Woman looks over Batman's shoulder at... that photograph.

WW does look a tad bit odd-looking, but I still like this pic.

Nice. :D

I've often thought that someone(s) should illustrate Adrian's work.

That story is one of my faves, and I love the expressions on both of your characters. Have you thought about doing more based on that fanfic?
